Every Indian who buys their first home knows the feeling. The keys. The empty rooms. The imagination running wild: what goes here, what colour, what light. You have saved for this. You have planned for this. This is the home your family will grow in.
In Ahmedabad, like most Indian cities, the next step is usually a phone call to someone your neighbour knows, or a name from a WhatsApp group, or a contractor who shows up with confidence and a portfolio on his phone that may or may not be his work.
The Betrayal
I lost ₹3 lakh to someone I trusted because I had no other option. Not because I was careless. Because the system gave me no better option. When it happened, I started asking around. It was not just me. Almost everyone I knew had a story: a contractor who vanished, work done badly, budgets doubled, timelines tripled.
This is a ₹1.8 lakh crore industry in India. And the most important decision, who actually does the work, was being made on pure gut feel and borrowed trust.
The Decision
Interiorsahihai exists because no one should have to go through what I went through. Not in their first home. Not in any home. We built the platform I needed: one where designers are verified, portfolios are real, reviews are honest, and quotes are transparent.
We started in Ahmedabad. We are building for every city in India. Because the problem is everywhere, and the solution should be too.
